According to a report by Nigerian Tribune on Sunday, 13 July, 2025, Yulia Dyakova-Adekunle, a Russian-born woman, has found a new home in Nigeria through love, dedication, and service to others. Now the vice-president of Nigerwives Association in Ibadan, she continues to build a life that blends her Russian roots with Nigerian culture.

Her journey into this new chapter began when she met and fell in love with Oluwashola Israel Adekunle, a Nigerian man who would later become her husband.

Moving from Russia to Nigeria was not without its challenges. Yulia had to adapt to a different environment, language, food, and way of life. However, with time and the support of her husband, she was able to adjust and settle down.

She now calls Ibadan home and has integrated into the community, where she plays an active role in supporting women and families through her position in the Nigerwives Association.

As vice-president of the Nigerwives Association in Ibadan, she is involved in several community projects.
