The family and hometown of late Lieutenant General Lagbaja, former Chief of Army Staff, are in deep sorrow after his sudden passing. In Osun State, where his family lives, members of the community and relatives gathered to honor his memory.
Speaking to TVC News Reporter in a video from 0.10, the wife of the family head, Mrs. Lagbaja, shared touching memories of the late General. She described him as a kind and honorable man. “He was a good man, raised by good parents who treated me like their own daughter,” she said, with tears in her eyes. “My husband is his uncle, and his parents took great care of my children as if they were their own.”
The family also highlighted some of the General’s contributions to their community. He generously provided boreholes, which gave everyone access to clean water, and he recently built a house for his family. However, out of respect for his late father’s wishes, he continued to live in the family’s ancestral home instead of moving.
His loss is deeply felt, not only by the family but by everyone in the community who benefited from his kindness. The family expressed their gratitude for his life, remembering him as a man who loved and supported his people.
