According to Keshi, leaders who had worked with Trump during his previous term might be concerned about the challenges of collaborating with him again. However, the former diplomat acknowledged that these leaders must find ways to cooperate with Trump, as the United States holds significant global influence and its relationships with other nations are crucial for international stability and progress.
“A lot of world leaders are waking up this morning and strategizing on how they will deal with the next four years of Donald Trump,” Keshi said. “Those who were around when he was president some 4 years ago, and had a feel of working with him, I’m sure they’re going through their own nightmare that here we are again with another four years of Trump.”
Despite the potential challenges, Keshi emphasized that cooperation with the U.S. president is inevitable. “But look, they’re going to try and find a way to work with him, that’s inevitable. He’s the president of the United States of America, and America has a global influence and reach, which makes it inevitable that everybody must find a way to ensure they’re able to work with him,” he said.
