In a candid interview on Arise TV from 1:59, Chizy Enyi, President General of the Initiative for Transparent Strategy and Good Leadership, accused Nyesom Wike of prioritizing the “rule of might” over the rule of law throughout his political career.
Enyi cited instances dating back to Wike’s tenure as Obio-Akpor Local government chairman, during which he allegedly assumed the position without participating in elections.
Enyi further claimed that Wike manipulated the system to appoint individuals who had not even registered as candidates as congress executives for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State.
These allegations suggest that Wike’s political success has been driven by a ruthless pursuit of power, often involving questionable legal and ethical tactics.
According to Chizy Enyi, “However, to Nyesom Wike, what matters is the rule of might, and to him, there is nothing like the rule of law. Back from when he became the first-time chairman of Obio-Akpor Local government, he never participated in the election but was declared by the same court as chairman. Thereafter, by 2013, he made those that never even bought a form for the Congress executives of the PDP in Rivers State; they never participated, but he succeeded using the then president and former first lady, Mrs. Jonathan, and her husband.”
