Former Nigerian Senator Shehu Sani has reacted positively to Finance Minister Wale Edun’s announcement that 25 million Nigerians have received ₦25,000 through a conditional cash transfer program.
As reported by Channels TV, Edun made this statement while briefing State House Correspondents after a National Economic Council meeting led by Vice President Kashim Shettima also noting that over 11,000 beneficiaries received ₦3.5 billion from a consumer credit scheme.
In a post on his official X account, Sani praised the initiative, emphasizing that providing ₦25,000 to such a large number of people is a significant step in combating poverty. He expressed that these individuals have now reached the “Airport of prosperity,” highlighting the importance of the program. Sani commended the minister for this impactful effort aimed at improving the lives of millions of Nigerians.
