President Bola Tinubu’s call for security agencies to employ new strategies in curbing the country’s insecurity, a concerning incident has come to light from Kogi State. Kelvin Eze, a resident of the state, has recounted the traumatic ordeal his family faced when his mother and sister were abducted by kidnappers.
In a video recording from 0:49, Eze detailed the horrific experience, stating that his mother and younger sister were kidnapped by teenage members of the Fulani tribe. The abductors initially demanded a staggering ransom of 200 million naira for the release of their victims.
“They kidnapped my mum and my younger sister, and I went for their negotiation and their release,” Eze recounted. “Upon reaching there, I found out that it was teenage Fulani boys, and one of them calls himself the general.”
After lengthy negotiations and pleading, the ransom was eventually lowered to 15 million naira, which the victim’s relatives were forced to pay in order to secure the release of Eze’s mother and sister.
