Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, who represents Abia South Senatorial District, has spoken out about what the Igbo people want from Nigeria’s Federal Government. His comments appeared in a video shared by Arise TV on their X (formerly Twitter) platform on Friday from 0.01.

In the video, Abaribe addressed a question he often gets from government officials about Igbo demands. He emphasized that the Igbo people simply want to be treated fairly and equally under Nigeria’s constitution.

“Sometimes, when I discuss with my friends in the administration, the first thing they say is you Igbos, what do you want?” Abaribe said in the video. “I want to tell everyone that what the Igbos want is fairness and equity which is in the constitution. That’s all that we want. Treat us as you are treating everybody else. Whenever an Igbo person sees that they are not being treated fairly, they come out.”
