In a candid interview on Channels TV from 9:55, a former national chairman South-South of Peoples Democratic Party, Emmanuel Ogidi commenting on the internal conflicts within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), defended Governor Nyesom Wike’s frustration towards party leadership as a natural human response.

He argued that while it is understandable for Wike to be annoyed, it is crucial to address his concerns and manage them within the party.

Ogidi used the analogy of a frustrated man misdirecting his anger to illustrate how Wike’s reaction to the party leadership’s decisions might be a result of transferred aggression.

Through this statement, Ogidi aimed to humanize Wike’s situation and emphasize the importance of understanding and managing emotions when dealing with internal conflicts within a political party.

According to Emmanuel Ogidi, “How can one vice president, Atiku Abubakar have a problem with the leadership? Wike may have because of annoyance. Why would he not be annoyed? He’s human. Whatever his annoyance is, he is human. There’s nothing wrong with getting annoyed. Our job is to make sure that it is within the fold. You see, when you are frustrated, whatever—human being. Okay, look at it. The frustrated man—the wife just finished abusing him. The driver says good morning, and he says, ‘get out!’ The driver didn’t do anything wrong. But because the wife has offended him, he transferred the aggression. So that’s what’s happening.”
