Atedo Peterside, the President of ANAP Foundation, has alleged that INEC has gone rogue right after the 2023 Presidential election. He expressed his disappointment regarding the discrepancies in the results of the Edo state election.
He revealed that he had obtained data from INEC’s IREV portal, which showed a significant difference from the results officially announced by INEC. He emphasized that INEC must explain these discrepancies to the nation, as the data he obtained was directly sourced from them. He highlighted that over the last couple of years, it is only the Osun state election that was conducted by INEC that has yielded results that matched those on the IREV.
He said in an interview with Arise TV from 4:14, ‘I got my data from INEC, and so INEC must explain to the nation why the results on IREV are different from the ones they announced. It was only the election conducted by INEC in Osun state where the results announced were the same as the ones on IREV. Something has changed right after the presidential elections; INEC went rogue. I hope that INEC will be held accountable, and I feel sorry for the decent staff at INEC. There’s nothing worse than working in a place where half of your colleagues have gone rogue, and perhaps your bosses also.”
