Kenneth Okonkwo, a lawyer, has stated that when Odumegwu Ojukwu returned from exile, he emphasized that Nigeria had already fought one civil war, and there was no need to engage in another one. He said Ojukwu also pledged to defend Nigeria if it ever faced a threat.

In a video shared by Arise TV from 6:15, Okonkwo emphasized the importance of preserving Nigeria’s unity. He mentioned that the blessings and capabilities within Nigeria can only be fully realized if the country remains united. He said staying together as one nation is in the best interest of all Nigerians, as it will allow the country to harness its strengths and achieve greatness.
