According to a report by Nigerian Tribune on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has predicted that the 2027 presidential election will mainly be a contest between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

The cleric made the projection in his latest prophecy book, Warnings To The Nations 2026/2027 Edition, which was officially unveiled on Saturday.

According to him, the political landscape ahead of the next general election will revolve around the two prominent politicians as preparations gradually gather momentum.

The newly released 405-page publication contains a wide range of prophecies addressing both national and international issues.

In the book, Primate Ayodele devoted a section to Nigeria’s political future, particularly the 2027 presidential election.

He presented his expectations regarding the major contenders and highlighted what he believes will shape the outcome of the race across different parts of the country.

The cleric also made projections concerning the prospects of former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

The cleric maintained that these developments would pose serious setbacks to Obi’s presidential ambition if they eventually occur.

His predictions were presented as part of the broader political outlook contained in the latest edition of his annual prophecy publication.

On page 16 of the book, the cleric specifically outlined his forecasts for the three leading political figures expected to dominate discussions ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

He detailed what he believes would be the strengths and weaknesses of each contender while explaining how regional dynamics and political alliances could influence the contest.
