The Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo has taken to his official X account to react to a report claiming he said that federal government has approved Dangote Refinery as the sole supplier of jet fuel.
According to the report, the Minister of Aviation stated that the federal government has approved Dangote Refinery as sole supplier of jet fuel to Nigeria airline operators.
It says;
“FG approves Dangote Refinery as sole supplier of jet fuel to Nigeria airline operators”
Reacting to the report, Festus Keyamo said that was not the statement he made. He said the correct position is that the Airline Operators of Nigeria voluntarily decided that they would patronize Dangote Refinery in their purchase of jet fuel.
According to Festus Keyamo on his page;
“This is a misrepresentation of what I said. The correct position is that the Airline Operators of Nigeria voluntarily decided they would patronise Dangote Refinery in their purchase of JET A1 Fuel. Not that the federal government approves Dangote Refinery as sole supplier. That is not correct”.
