Senator Adams Oshiomhole, former governor of Edo state has called on former Labour Party candidate, Olumide Akpata, to join forces with the new governor for the betterment of Edo State. He urged Akpata to set aside political differences and work together to ensure collective progress, emphasizing the need for unity in the state’s development.

He also appealed to his in-law, asking him to respect the boardroom’s decision, whether it favors the majority or minority shareholder, and to support Senator Monday, who will be sworn in on November 12. He stressed that in any election, only one person can emerge victorious, comparing it to a situation where even if 11 Angels competed, only one would be given the chance to lead.

He said in a live coverage by Symfoni from 7:30, “I will use this opportunity to plead with my in-law and ask that where the boardroom has adjourned, whether the decision favors the minority shareholder or the majority shareholder, the board policy must be executed. So, I plead with him as a team player to join forces with distinguished Senator Monday, who will be sworn in on the 12th of November.

I also want to extend, I believe after all, I registered the Labour Party, now former candidate, Olumide Akpata, to join hands with the new governor and to ensure that all of us labor for the good of our great state. There is no way, even if there were 11 Angels, God will only give one Angel the opportunity to govern at any point in time. There can be no two winners in an election that requires one office.”
