There have been several reactions from social media users after photos of one of the chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Segun Showunmi prostrating to the former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose surfaced online.
The pictures were shared on the official X handle of Dr. Segun Showunmi on Monday.
After sharing the pictures, he said he visited the former governor of Ekiti state at his building site in Ikeja GRA. He said he had a deep conversation with Ayodele Fayose when he met him.
Segun Showunmi stated that he will do all he can to ensure that unity returns to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Here is what he wrote on his page;
“I visited Ayo Fayose, where I prostrated to him at his building site in Ikeja GRA to beg that we all come together to save our common patrimony. In the end, it will be clear that I have what it takes to lead this party, for I am committed to get everyone to take it easy with each other. We had deep level conversations. I will do all I can that heaven will see that I tried. From 1998 to date, I challenge anyone who has been more committed”.
