Senator Lindsey Graham has sharply criticized the Biden-Harris Administration’s handling of the Middle East, describing the U.S. leadership’s response to the region’s instability as “paralyzed by fear.”

In a tweet posted on his verified Twitter account, Graham accused the current administration of exacerbating tensions across the Middle East due to what he calls a lack of decisive action and leadership.

“The world is on fire because of their weakness,” Graham stated, referencing ongoing conflicts and instability in the region, including issues surrounding Iran, Israel, and various proxy wars. He suggests that the Biden administration’s policies are failing to curb escalating violence and diplomatic tensions, which, according to Graham, have been a result of the administration’s reluctance to take strong measures.

In his tweet, Graham also expressed his belief that if former President Donald Trump were to return to office, he would “secure peace in the Middle East.” This reflects a sentiment often echoed by Trump and his supporters, who argue that his approach to foreign policy, which included renegotiating key international deals and taking a hardline stance on Iran, brought stability to the region during his presidency.

Graham’s comments are part of a broader Republican critique of the Biden administration’s foreign policy, with many arguing that its more diplomatic and engagement-focused approach has failed to produce the desired outcomes. Critics of Biden’s Middle East policy cite the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and the increased tensions with Iran and other adversaries as key examples of the administration’s foreign policy shortcomings.
