Activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has sparked reactions after criticizing some political moves involving Peter Obi and former Kano governor Rabiu Kwankwaso. In a recent interview, Sowore questioned why Kwankwaso, whom he says was criticized in 2023, is now being praised for helping Obi during his visit to Kano.
In a video from 6:24 shared by TV Platinum, Sowore explained that he openly shares his opinions on national television instead of hiding behind social media influencers. He also suggested that the excitement around Obi’s visit in some cities didn’t happen naturally, but rather involved organizing crowds to create a big impression.
Sowore compared his own reception in Aba, saying he could gather support without relying on special arrangements or “borrowed” crowds. He used this point to highlight what he sees as an inconsistency in how political figures are supported or criticized at different times.
In his words, “When did Kwankwaso become a saint, is it not the same Kwankwaso you were abusing in 2023, that’s he’s the saboteur for not working with Peter Obi. Suddenly Kwankwaso is a saint because he borrowed you the crowd in his compound where they were celebrating Sallah.” Read_More…
