In a recent statement on his verified Twitter account, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei emphasized the need for the Islamic Ummah to harness its inner strength to counter the actions of the Zionist regime.

According to Khamenei, the ability of the Zionist state to “commit crimes” is a direct result of the Islamic world’s failure to unify and act on its collective power.

Khamenei described Israel as a “cancerous tumor” lodged in the heart of the Islamic community, specifically in Palestine, and called for the removal of the regime from the region. He reiterated a long-held Iranian position, which frames the existence of Israel as a central issue for the Islamic world. Khamenei further connected the presence of Israel to broader US interference in the Middle East, suggesting that both forces are working in tandem to destabilize the region.

The Iranian leader’s rhetoric has historically included strong denunciations of both the United States and Israel, and this latest statement continues that pattern. He views the Islamic world as capable of eradicating these influences if it unites and taps into what he refers to as its “inner strength.”

Khamenei’s comments come at a time of heightened tension in the region, particularly following recent clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian groups. Iran has consistently positioned itself as a key opponent of Israeli and American policies in the Middle East, offering both military and financial support to groups that resist these powers. His call for unity aims to rally the Islamic world around a common cause of resistance, particularly in defense of Palestine.
