The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese Of Sokoto, Mathew Kukah has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu didn’t sign the peace accord during the 2023 presidential election.
This statement was contained in a video that was posted on the official X handle of CHANNELS TV on Sunday from 1.13..
His statement is coming after the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Edo state refused to sign the peace accord.
In the viral video from 1.13, Bishop Kukah stated that during the 2023 presidential election, the major presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu didn’t sign the peace accord.
According to Bishop Kukah;
“What is also very interesting is that the current president, who was the main presidential candidate, did not sign the peace accord. It was not our fault that the political opposition didn’t take advantage of it. What happened in Edo, we tried our possible best to ensure that if people have anxieties and they approach the peace committee, we will deal with those issues”.
