The President of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Abubakar Maigandi has alleged that they have receiving a letter from Dangote that they should come and buy his refined petroleum product. He stated that they are happy to consider this offer and they plan to hold a general meeting to discuss the proposal.

Although, he highlighted that Dangote’s letter did not specify the actual price of his product, which is a major concern. He however stated that if Dangote’s price is competitive and can offer a better deal than the other private depots, they are willing to partner with Dangote and make the product available at a cheaper rate in the country. He pointed out that they are prioritizing affordability and seeking a beneficial agreement for their members and the wider public.

He said in an interview with Arise TV From 3:02, ”We received a letter from Dangote yesterday that we should come and patronize him. And actually we are very happy and so we will hold a general meeting with my members. So by next week, we are going to see him and discuss about the price which is also a major issue.

Because up till now he didn’t tell us the actual price that he wanted to sell his product. But we will go there and see how much he is going to sell. If the price is competitive and we can be able to get it at a lower rate than the way we have been buying it from the private Depot, then automatically we are going to use him and make the product available at a cheaper rate in the country.”….View_Morē
