Ibrahim Abdulkarim, an aide of the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi has reacted to the comment that the former governor of Borno state, Ali Modu Sheriff made about Obi.
The reaction of Ibrahim Abdulkarim was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Monday, July 6, 2026.
This is coming after the former governor of Borno state said Northerners won’t vote for Peter Obi because he chased them when he was governor of Anambra state.
Here is what Ali Modu Sheriff said according to Channels TV;
“I am not worried about Peter Obi at all because I know that Northerners will never vote for Peter Obi. The situation is different now, you know why? Peter Obi when he was a governor chased all the Northerners out of Anambra state”.
However, Ibrahim Abdulkarim has now shared his thoughts after the report surfaced online. In a statement that he shared on his official X handle, he said the tribal sentiments that Ali Modu Sheriff used against Peter Obi won’t work. He said Peter Obi will be elected in 2027.
