In a recent video TVC, the once-strong political alliance between former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and his successor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, has collapsed beyond repair, according to prominent political commentator, Babajide Kolade-Otitoju (BKO). In his latest analysis, BKO highlighted the sequence of events that led to the fallout between the two influential figures, noting that the turning point came when Wike publicly attacked Fubara during his media engagements.
BKO revealed that Wike’s criticisms, which were aimed at undermining Fubara’s administration, triggered an inevitable response from the current governor. Fubara, who initially maintained a reserved stance, eventually reached his breaking point and decided to retaliate. “Invariably, Fubara got fed up and decided to fight back,” BKO stated. Fubara’s response was not just defensive; it was also an offensive maneuver as he openly criticized Wike, accusing him of various administrative shortcomings.
According to him, “The relationship between Wike and Fubara has collapsed irretrievably. I felt that the turning point, the initial turning point, was when Wike began to attack Fubara during his media chats. Invariably, Fubara got fed up and decided to fight back. He decided to verbally assault Wike and went as far as saying that he would probe the administration of Wike.”….Vïêw–Môrê
