A Member of the PDP Board of Trustees, Senator Abdul Ningi has alleged that the PDP Board Of Trustees (BOT) has written a letter to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike In order to have a comprehensive discussion with him and to address the political crisis in Rivers State.

He expressed trust in Wike’s statement that he will not leave the party and emphasized the need for unity to ensure the party’s survival. He stressed that the PDP is a significant political party on the continent and that losing an election in 2015 does not mean the party will disappear. However, he warned that anyone attempting to undermine the party’s existence will face resistance.

He said in an interview with Arise TV From 4:52, ”No member of the Nigeria political class will tell you that he does not understand what is going on in Rivers State. This crisis has to do with the FCT Minister and the BOT has written a letter to him. Because while we were in Port Harcourt, we try to understand the irreducible minimum that the governor can give the party to survive in the state. Our next venture is to see the FCT Minister and have a wholesome discussion with him.

We take Wike’s statement that he’s not going to leave the party in good faith. Because at the end of the day, what we need to let PDP survive is Unity. If everybody come together with the same aspiration, the party will be great again. This is political party that is the biggest in the face of the continent. Because we lost an election in 2015 does not mean that the party will vanish. However, anybody that wants the party to vanish will be resisted. We are not going to fight anybody but we are going to sort out things according to the rules of the game and according to the Constitution of the party.”
