The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to apprehending and bringing to justice the perpetrators of the brutal murder of a popular cross-dresser known as Abuja Area Mama.

According to a senior police officer attached to the FCT Command, investigations into the case are ongoing, and the command is working tirelessly to ensure that those responsible for the heinous crime are held accountable.

The murder of Area Mama has sent shockwaves through the community, with friends and acquaintances struggling to come to terms with the sudden and tragic loss. A close friend of the deceased, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed her devastation at the incident, revealing that she had spoken to Area Mama on the night of his death. He had mentioned plans to visit someone in Lugbe, but tragically, he never returned. She even said that she could not hear him properly but he promised to call him when he got back.

As reported by The Punch News, the deceased friend said, “I spoke to Area Mama that Wednesday night. He told me he was going out. I couldn’t hear him properly but he promised to call me when he got back. He also said he wanted to go to Lugbe to see someone. It is still like a dream how he was killed like an animal.”
