In a video recently shared by Channels TV from 19:40, Kenneth Okonkwo, a lawyer stated that if he could speak directly to President Tinubu, he would ask why billions of naira were allocated to the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, despite her public statement that their family does not need Nigeria’s wealth because they are already blessed.
It would be recalled that at an interdenominational church service, Mrs Tinubu stated that her family does not need Nigeria’s wealth to survive, as they have been blessed by God. She also assured Nigerians that the wealth of the nation belongs to all and would be used properly
Kenneth Okonkwo also said that he would question the decision to allocate 6 billion naira to the National Assembly for a car park while students are being offered loans instead of grants. He said instead of giving loans, the government should offer grants to support students more effectively
In Okonkwo’s words: “Why give billions of naira to your wife when she has even said in a church that ‘we don’t need it because we are already blessed with money’. Mr President why give 6 billion naira to national assembly to build car park when you are giving loan to students, why don’t you give grants to students?”….Sêe_Morē
