According to the report from the Sun, a public affairs analyst, and the Convener, Reset Lagos, Dr. Adetokunbo Pearse discussed the diverse support base of the Labour Party (LP) during a recent interview.

Addressing misconceptions about the LP’s primary support coming from the Igbo people, Pearse clarified that a significant number of Yoruba people, particularly the younger generation and organizations like the Nigerian Youth Council, also endorsed the LP.

He emphasized that tribal affiliations are no longer a defining factor in political support for many Nigerians, suggesting that this is more of an issue among the older generation and political leaders who remain divided along tribal and religious lines.
