Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has stated that, for the first time in Nigeria’s history, crude oil is now being sold in naira the local currency. He said this is expected to help Nigerian businesses access funds more easily to build their own refineries, knowing they will have a steady supply of crude oil

In a video shared by Arise TV from 2:09, Uzodinma praised President Tinubu for his efforts to revitalize the economy through this policy. He said that some of Tinubu’s policies might cause some initial difficulties but they are aimed at strengthening the economy in the long run.
