The nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests had a big impact on Nigeria on their first day. During a conversation from 1:40 minutes., a female protester addressed the security operatives and voiced her opinions concerning President Tinubu’s reaction to the peaceful protest.

The protester wore a shirt bearing a statement made by Tinubu during protests against the Jonathan administration. It read, “Police do not attack protesters. Your children are involved. Your lives are involved. Your children’s future lies here.”

She explained that this message was a reminder to the police to avoid attacking peaceful protesters.

She acknowledged that the president has been somewhat lenient and communicative, directing the police not to attack, which they appreciate, but stated that they don’t know what Tinubu is doing behind the scenes.

Quoting her, “To be sincere, the president has been lenient in trying to converse with us, and he’s been trying to give directives.”

“We don’t know what he’s doing behind, but the one we see is that he’s saying police should not attack us, so we’re wearing it as a reminder to the police.”….Sêe_Morē
