In a recent statement, the Catholic Archbishop of Abuja Diocese, Ignatius Kaigama, has spoken out against the behavior of leaders in Nigeria.

In an interview with Arise TV, he criticized politicians, traditional rulers, and religious leaders for being self-centered as a result of growing frustrations among the citizens leading to looming nationwide protest tagged

He highlighted that neglecting children and youths could have long-term negative effects on the country’s future.

According to Kaigama, this attitude is bad to the development and well-being of the nation.

The Archbishop also called for a change in the mindset of Nigerian leaders, believing that promoting patriotism among leaders would lead to better governance and a more prosperous Nigeria.

During the interview, Kaigama also touched on the role of religious leaders in society.

He pointed out that they have a responsibility to guide their followers and promote ethical behavior.

However, he lamented that some religious leaders are also guilty of being self-centered.
