According to a report by Nigerian Tribune on Friday, May 15, 2026, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a political caution directed at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding his reported preparation for the 2027 general elections.

In his remarks, the cleric advised that the president should be careful about depending entirely on the support of northern governors as part of his broader political strategy for a possible second term.

According to the cleric’s position, there is a belief that some governors in the northern region may not be fully aligned with the president’s political direction despite public appearances of support.

He indicated that within the political space, individuals often maintain different interests that may not always match the expectations of national leaders.
