Professor Patrick Utomi, International Policy Scholar, Woodrow Wilson Centre, has reacted to the planned protest by Nigerians against the current administration.
Several Nigerians have taken to their streets to express their grievances regarding the hike in the prices of commodities and the rising cost of living, which were said to have arisen from the removal of fuel subsidies by the current administration.
Following this development, Nigerian politicians implored citizens to exercise patience with the current administration, as there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
However, things took a different turn as plans to embark on a nationwide protest against the Tinubu-led administration were revealed.
In reaction to this, the presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, claimed that the planned protest is treasonous.
During an interview with Arise News from 7:48 minute, the Nigerian author, Pat Utomi, stated that he would have derived joy from leading the protest if invited.
He also reacted to Onanuga’s claim, noting that he would teach him political science since he is a degree holder in the field and would also explain the meaning of treason to him.
According to the video, “Let him come, and I will teach him political science. I have degrees there, and I will explain to him what treason is.”….Seë_Morë
