Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, member and former Kogi lawmaker, Dino Melaye took to his X account on Saturday and shared statistics of Africa’s Largest Economies. The post that he shared on his page contained the statistics of three years which are; 2014, 2023 and 2024.
In the year 2012, Nigeria ranked first with $568.5 billion. South Africa came second with $321.6 billion.
In the year 2024, Nigeria ranked 3rd with Egypt and South Africa clinching the first and second spot respectively. According to the stats, in 2024, Nigeria ranked 4th with $374.9 billion while South Africa and Egypt took first and second position respectively.
After Dino made the post, he said; “See where we are economically in 2013, 2023 and 2024”.
