Laolu Akande, a former presidential aide, has condemned the recent drama in the Senate, where a letter from the APC Chairman was read on the floor. In an interview with Channels Television From 7:23, Akande expressed his disapproval of the incident, stating, “It doesn’t sound normal to me.”

The letter, titled “Complaints Against the Unbecoming Utterances of Senator Ali Ndume,” was read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during a plenary session. It expressed the displeasure of the APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) regarding Ndume’s criticism of the government and the party.

Akande criticized the move, saying, “You don’t bring the letter of your chairman to the floor of the house.” He also questioned the inaction of PDP members, who “sat down like sitting dogs” instead of objecting to the unusual move.

Akande called for decorum in the Senate, urging lawmakers to maintain a professional atmosphere. “Go and fix your stuff. Don’t turn the whole thing into a pathetic melodrama. It’s uncalled for,” he said.

I think it’s not acceptable and I don’t think it’s normal. But we have to go and check what these guys have been doing, just to be sure. But it doesn’t sound to me as normal. How come you’re reading the letter on the floor of the Senate written by the Chairman of your party and it’s interesting that PDP members, just sat down there like sitting d0gs. They just turn the whole thing to pathetic melodrama. It’s uncalled for. You guys go and fix your stuff. Don’t bring the letter of your chairman to the floor of the house” He Said….Seë_Morë
