The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Benjamin Okezie Kalu has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given the Igbos in the South East geopolitical zone of the country more than the vote cast for him during the 2023 general elections.
Vanguard News reported that Benjamin Okezie, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress stated this on Sunday during the APC South East zonal meeting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital.
The South East zonal meeting of the All Progressives Congress was attended by chieftains of the party in the zone including the host Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, Minister of Works, Dave Nweze Umahi, the executive Governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodimma, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim among others.
Benjamin Okezie Kalu said; “President Tinubu has given Ndigbo more than the vote cast for him during elections. It is presently left for us to repay him for his good works because when ones shows appreciation, he gets more”
He stated further; “The process for the south east development commission bill which would solve the numerous challenges confronting Igbos, has been finalised and awaiting the president’s accent”
