In a recent interview with Arise Television from 00:10 to 1:59, Dr. Samuel Nwanosike, the former Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area (LGA), shed light on ongoing political tensions within the Ikwerre ethnic nationality. Dr. Nwanosike voiced concerns about the actions of a prominent businessman and former Senator, whom he accuses of attempting to maintain control and influence within the local government.

Dr. Nwanosike alleged that a businessman, who is responsible for handling all the contracts in the local government through his company, MCC, is striving to perpetuate his leadership. “A businessman who is responsible for doing all the contracts in our local government that owns the company MCC decides to say he wants to perpetuate his leadership,” Nwanosike stated. He further mentioned that this individual, leveraging his past role as a Senator representing Obio-Akpor, claims to be the leader of the Ikwerre ethnic nationality and alleges to have the governor’s mandate to organize the Ikwerre people and market women.
