A report that was published on the official X account of DAILY POST on Saturday, December 6, 2025 has captured the moment the governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okphebolo was saying that some people are kidnapping Nigerians just to win the presidential election in 2027.
He was speaking about the recent kidnappings in some parts of the country when he made the statement.
In the report that surfaced online, the Edo state governor said the kidnappings are planned by some elements who wants to takeover power from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He said the people are engaging in the act just to label the current govenment as incompetent. He said the people have failed because President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is resolute and determined. He said similar thing was done under the administration of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan but it won’t work.
According to DAILY POST, the Edo state governor said that;
“They are kidnapping people because somebody wants to win an election, it’s not fair. They did this to Goodluck Jonathan and they succeeded, but we know their trick already”. View, More,
