Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Public Communication has reacted to the statement that was made by former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo about security in Nigeria.

The reaction of Sunday Dare was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

According to DAILY TRUST, Obasanjo stated that the people of Nigeria have the right to call the international community to solve the issue of insecurity if the government can not do it.

The former President of Nigeria made the statement after the President of the United State of America, Donald Trump designated Nigeria as Country of Particular Concern over alleged Christian genocide.

Here is what Obasanjo said;

“We are part of the world community, and if our government cannot protect us, we have right to call on the international community to do for us what our government cannot do for us”.

However, Sunday Dare has now shared his thoughts after the report surfaced online. In a post that he shared on his official X handle, he said if truly the former President wants to help, he should support the ongoing efforts by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to curb insecurity in the country. He said Tinubu is committed to securing the lives of Nigerians.
