Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has opened up about the persistent conflicts with his younger brother, Isaac Fayose, explaining that the disputes extend beyond personal disagreements to attacks on those connected to him. Speaking in an interview on AF24 News Stories from 3:40, Fayose stressed that while family tensions are challenging, they must be managed with patience, love, and restraint.
Fayose noted, “Isaac: Anybody associated with me, he’ll go for them—Wike, Gov. Oyebanji; he fights everybody.” highlighting how his brother reportedly targets anyone linked to him in conflicts. The former governor expressed frustration over this pattern, which has intensified family tensions and sometimes spilled into public discourse. He clarified that while he cannot control his siblings’ actions, he chooses not to respond with anger or engage in public battles.
He emphasized that his focus remains on protecting and caring for their 86-year-old mother, whom he accompanies on medical trips abroad, including to South Africa and Dubai, ensuring she receives proper care. Fayose underscored that these efforts are motivated by love and duty, not for public recognition. He also made a clear distinction between his nuclear family—his wife and children—and his extended family, noting that while disagreements exist, respect and affection remain intact.
Reflecting on the past year, Fayose acknowledged that insults and attacks from Isaac have been persistent, yet he has chosen patience and discretion as his guiding principles. He stressed that social media exposure of private matters only worsens the situation and leaves long-lasting impressions for future generations.
He concluded by thanking Nigerians for their support, particularly during his recent birthday celebrations, and reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining family unity and honoring his mother. Fayose emphasized that restraint, silence, and love remain his approach to navigating both personal and public challenges. View, More,
