Mohammed Ali Ndume, a Nigerian lawmaker representing Borno Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate, has shared his reaction towards the recent withdrawal of police officers from Very Important Persons (VIPs).
In recent times, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has confirmed the withdrawal of over 11000 police officers from Very Important Persons (VIPs) across Nigeria.
However, during an interview with Channels Television from 1:57, Mohammed Ali Ndume, a Nigerian lawmaker representing Borno Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate, stated that some public office holders in Nigeria misuse their office by unnecessarily attaching police officers to their loved ones.
He revealed that a politician’s son is moving with a convoy consisting of the Department of State Service DSS and police officers, amongst others, labeling this action as an insult to the office.
