The spokesperson of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has criticised President Bola Tinubu for what he described as misplaced priorities as insecurity continues to escalate across the country.

In a post shared on his X account on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, Abdullahi lamented that Nigerians were facing some of the most distressing security challenges in recent years.

He wrote that “this is indeed a most difficult time to be a Nigerian,” noting that insurgents were wreaking havoc in several communities, abducting vulnerable citizens including pregnant women and children.

Abdullahi added that “an unknown number of children are still in the kidnappers’ den,” while “hundreds of thousands of children are kept away from school because the government cannot guarantee their safety.”

Against this backdrop, he questioned the president’s decision to appoint Governor Hope Uzodimma as the director-general of his 2027 campaign organisation.
