A United Kingdom-based Catholic cleric, Reverend Nick Donnelly has reacted to the statement that was made by Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi about the activities of herdsmen in Nigeria.
The reaction of Reverend Nick Donnelly was contained in a report that was posted on the official X handle of DAILY POST on Monday, November 24, 2025.
His statement is coming after Sheikh Ahmad Gumi said herdsmen are not like IPOB members who harm security operatives. Sheikh Gumi said herdsmen only kidnap children to make money.
Here is what Sheikh Ahmad Gumi said;
“Herdsmen are not like the Indigenous People of Biafra; they are kidnapping children to make money. Let’s be fair with them”.
However, Nick Donnelly has now reacted to the statement that was made by the Islamic cleric. In the report that surfaced online, he asked ICC to arrest Gumi. He said the Islamic cleric needs to be tried in the court of law.
