Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Seyed Araghchi, has stirred fresh controversy with a strongly worded statement criticizing the ongoing conflict involving Iran and the United States. In a post that has drawn widespread reactions, Araghchi described the situation as a “war of choice,” asserting that it was imposed on both the Iranian and American people.

He further claimed that the financial implications of the conflict could be far greater than currently estimated. According to him, the reported $200 billion cost represents only “the tip of the iceberg,” warning that the total economic burden may eventually reach into the trillions.

Araghchi also directed sharp criticism at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him and his allies in the U.S. Congress of influencing policies that could lead to what he termed an “Israel First tax” on the American economy. The remark suggests a belief that U.S. financial resources are being disproportionately allocated in support of Israel.
