Veteran politician and founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Buba Galadima, has delivered a blistering warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to abandon any hope of winning the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking from 00:02:58 in a widely circulated television interview yesterday, the outspoken Kano-born chieftain declared that the Nigerian masses have made up their minds and no level of political defection or horse-trading can save the president from a humiliating defeat.

Galadima, who has become one of the most consistent critics of the Tinubu administration, said the current hardship in the country has opened the eyes of ordinary Nigerians. “Tinubu should stop dreaming. The people are suffering. They can no longer buy fuel, food is out of reach, school fees have tripled, and hospitals have become death traps. No amount of bringing Atiku’s men, Obi’s men, or even Kwankwaso’s boys into the APC will change the verdict of 2027,” he stated emphatically.

The elder statesman dismissed recent high-profile defections into the ruling party as mere political opportunism that would yield no electoral value. “These are the same people who were shouting ‘Emi lokan’ yesterday; today they are jumping ship because they smell defeat. Nigerians are not fools. They will punish this government at the polls,” Galadima insisted.

He reminded Tinubu that the North, which largely supported him in 2023, now feels betrayed by the removal of fuel subsidy, naira flotation, and the worsening insecurity. “The North will vote with one voice in 2027, and it won’t be for APC,” he predicted.

Galadima called on opposition elements to close ranks and present a united front, warning that another four years of the current administration would plunge Nigeria into irreversible disaster. “This is not about Galadima or any individual; it is about saving Nigeria from total collapse,” he concluded.
