PDP chieftain Arch Uche Rochas in a post on Thursday, November 20, 2025, via his X account, has claimed that Nnamdi Kanu became a target because he obstructed powerful political interests.
According to him, “why they hated MNK so much is because he disrupted their agenda. Many of the things they wanted to introduce through government policies were thwarted by him. He is not 100% right, but he dealt with them badly.”
Rochas added that he believes the IPOB leader’s legal battle is far from over, insisting that “his case will be revisited in our lifetime, and he will be discharged and acquitted.”
His statement came as a direct response to comments made by Bashir Ahmad, a former presidential aide, who had earlier cautioned Nigerians against defending Kanu.
Ahmad wrote that “we have taken note that, from now on, we will be seeing many of you as terrorist apologists for blindly shielding and defending an international terrorist, Nnamdi Kanu.” View, More,
