One of the chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC and former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted after Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi alleged that Christians in the middle belt are burying empty coffins to prove genocide.
The reaction of Femi Fani-Kayode was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Monday, November 17, 2025.
According to THE GUARDIAN, the Islamic cleric made the statement after the President of the United State of America designated Nigeria as Country of Particular Concern and threatened military action if the government continues to allow the killing of Christians.
However, Femi Fani-Kayode has now shared his thoughts after the report surfaced online. In a post that he shared on his official X handle, he said the statement that was made by the Islamic cleric is insensitive.
He said in Nigeria, Christians are being killed by Islamist terrorists. Femi Fani-Kayode stated that the terrorists are killing everyone without considering religion or tribe.
According to Femi Fani-Kayode on his official X account;
“The insenstive and cruel assertion that Christians are not being killed in Nigeria and that we bury empty coffins is a monstrous mendacity. Christians are targetted and killed in large numbers in Nigeria”. View, More,
