Governor Caleb Mutfwang has pushed back strongly against the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) supposed move to expel influential figures like Nyesom Wike and Ay that such purges will only deepen the party’s crisis .

According to The Cable Newspaper, Governor of Plateau State Mutfwang who was reinstated by the Supreme Court after legal disputes is a committed member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) . He plays a central role in rebuilding and stabilizing the Plateau PDP, emphasizing unity and ending factional conflicts.

Speaking in Jos , Mutfwang argued that removing party stalwarts will not address the root problems threatening the PDP’s unity . He insisted that what the party truly needs right now is reconciliation and dialogue , not public disciplinary showdowns.

Mutfwang’s remarks come amid mounting tensions within the PDP , with some party leaders calling for the expulsion of Wike and others , citing alleged “anti-party” activity .
