Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Plateau State, has strongly criticized those who deny the ongoing violence and targeted attacks against Christians in Nigeria.

He shared a harrowing account of an encounter with Fulani militias that turned a funeral into a scene of terror and grief.

In an interview with News Central, Rev. Dachomo described the events surrounding the burial of 40 individuals who had been brutally killed earlier.

According to him, the mourners were already dealing with the trauma of the loss when the Fulani militias staged an ambush on the descent from the mountain where the burial was taking place.

The attack transformed what should have been a solemn ceremony into another day of mourning and panic.

Rev. Dachomo recounted the fear that gripped everyone present, emphasizing how chaotic and dangerous the situation became. While many fled to save their lives, one pregnant woman at the burial was unable to escape.

Tragically, the Fulani militias struck her down in front of the mourners, killing both her and her unborn child in a gruesome act of violence.

The incident has left a lasting impact on Rev. Dachomo, who recalled the horror with a heavy heart. He said the memory of that day and the brutality witnessed is indelible, reflecting the broader insecurity faced by Christian communities in Plateau State and across parts of Nigeria.

“I will never forget one woman who is still fresh in my memory. When we came for the burial, the Fulani came. She could not run because she was pregnant. They struck her and put their swords into her stomach, causing the fetus to come out along with her intestines. We had to gather everything. I was there performing the burial.” View, More,
