A prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Sani, has reacted to the viral incident involving Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike and soldiers who reportedly blocked him and his team from accessing a disputed parcel of land in Abuja.
Taking to his official X handle on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, Sani described the development as both dramatic and revealing of the complex power play in the nation’s capital. “Only in Abuja! Soldiers reportedly stopped the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and his team of FCTA officials from accessing a prized parcel of land in the capital city. What was meant to be a simple inspection quickly turned into a full-blown ‘no entry’ drama — soldiers at the gate, officials stunned, and Wike visibly seething,” Sani wrote.
He noted that the episode had now put the minister in a challenging position that would require a tactical and calculated response. “Now that the military has drawn the line (literally), Wike faces three respectable yet tactical options,” he stated.
Sani outlined the legal routes the minister could take, including approaching the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja, Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, for urgent judicial intervention. He further listed the potential judges who could handle such a case, describing each as seasoned and efficient. “He could make a brisk move to the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Abuja Division, the ever-firm (and quietly feared, lol) Hon. Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, to assign the case to one of the Division’s action-friendly justices — the ones who know how to turn legal thunder into lightning speed rulings,” Sani wrote.
He continued, “Justice James Kolawole Omotosho is firm, meticulous, and proudly allergic to drama (unless it’s filed as an exhibit). Wike’s number one pick. Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo — famed for rulings that slice through legal fog like a hot knife through butter. A solid second choice. Justice Peter Odo Lifu — patient, balanced, and known to drop verdicts so clean they echo in the corridors. A dependable third option.”

Sani concluded his post with a humorous yet pointed remark about how the situation might unfold: “With soldiers guarding the gate and lawyers oiling their wigs, Abuja now waits to see which path Wike will take — litigation, negotiation, or that ever-popular Nigerian option: settlement over pepper soup.” View, More,
