Soldiers of the Nigerian Army have conducted a rescue operation on about eighty-six victims abducted by suspected Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.
Recently, the president of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has charged the Nigerian Army, alongside the Nigerian Police Force, to employ new strategies in curbing the rising level of insecurity across the country.
However, the trending video making the rounds online featured a moment where troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Joint Task Force North East, engaged suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP insurgents in a gun duel.
According to reports, the Nigerian soldiers rescued about eighty-six victims and arrested 29 logistics suppliers linked to the terrorists in Borno state.
In the recent video on Voice TV Nigeria , the commander leading the troops charged the soldiers not to retreat but to proceed in engaging the terrorists.
