Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and legal expert has taken to his official X handle to add a humorous tone to the controversies that trailed the designation slammed on Nigeria by President Donald Trump. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he asked if he was the only person waiting on the court to issue an order restraining the United States from taking actions.
The controversial designation slammed on Nigeria by President Donald Trump and the subsequent threat to take military actions had generated massive conversations from different quarters after the reports surfaced online.
However, Chidi Odinkalu, a respected human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, found a humorous tone to threat which had grown to become a national concern.
According to his statements, he asked a curious question that unearthed the role of several individuals in dictating and determining national issues. Nyesom Wike the former governor of Rivers State, and James Omotosho, the federal high court Judge were mentioned in the cryptic message.
Chidi Odinkalu, widely admired for his outspokenness and boldness, pointed out that he was disappointed that the federal high court had not issued an order restraining president Trump and the United States from acting on the threats.
