Mike Ejiofor, former Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), has reacted after President Donald Trump recently said the U.S. may send military forces to Nigeria in response to what he described as large-scale killings of Christians in the country. He said Trump’s comments should not be taken lightly.

In an interview with Channels Television from 12:37, Ejiofor said he takes serious exception to the statement made by Trump. He said Trump is known for saying what he wants to do and going ahead to do it, so his words should not be ignored.

Ejiofor stated that the threat made by Trump is not something to overlook. He said the federal government of Nigeria should take the statement seriously and respond appropriately to protect the country’s interests.
